Can I run OSX on a Toshiba PC?

I have a toshiba satelite laptop with windows 7 which constantly infuriates me with all of the viruses I get despite running antivirus software. I am going to take it to the best buy to see if they can remove it. What I wanted to do was have them remove all memory off of the hard drive and install OSX instead of windows, not within windows. Is that possible? Because I know it is designed for Mac hardware. Or would I have to continue running windows 7 and run OSX within it?
