My External hard drive can't be opened! how can i browse it when it doesn't even appear on the list!?

i can't browse it on my computer because it doesn't appear on the list. i connected it to my laptop, still it can't be browsed. i connected it on our pc, it still won't open! now i'm infuriated i got important files in there. I NEED HELP PLEASE. T.T
