How do I tell someone to respect my personal space?

I don't see any logical reason why you want to stay somewhere you're obviously not comfortable. It's his job now, not yours... HE is the one getting paid. Your boss has no grounds to give you a bad reference when you're no longer his employee. There are much better places you go to give away your time where you would feel appreciated and not treated like crap.
